Purpose of the event
The “Special Interview” podcast segment provides a platform for young people to gain insights and valuable advice from experts and successful individuals in their respective fields.
In the first episode, listeners will have the opportunity to meet the talented French director, Guy-Roger Duvert, who is currently active in Hollywood. Throughout his career, Duvert has contributed to the production of numerous films, including the award-winning short film “Cassandra” (2014) and the science fiction movie “Virtual Revolution” (2016). He has also composed music for trailers of major blockbusters such as “Transformers 3,” “Green Lantern,” “Prometheus,” “Lone Survivor,” “Power Rangers,” and most recently, the virtual reality game “Hellsweeper.” Additionally, Duvert is a published author with a collection of about ten novels, including the bestselling sci-fi series “Outsphere.”
In the podcast, titled “Adventures in the World of Music and Cinema,” Guy-Roger will share his experiences and insights, ranging from the challenges faced by independent artists to the grand scenes of the silver screen. The podcast is scheduled to air at 20:00 on April 1, 2023, on VTC Academy’s platforms. Listeners can expect to gain authentic insights and emotions from the stories shared by this renowned speaker.

With the aim of connecting with distinguished experts across various fields, VTC Academy has invited a leading international expert from the world-renowned entertainment hub of Hollywood – French Director, Script Writer and Composer, Guy-Roger Duvert. Duvert began his career in music but later transitioned to filmmaking, where he has established himself as a highly skilled director. He believes that whether in music or film, the principle of creating a unique and memorable experience for the audience always applies. For him, filmmaking is a medium for storytelling and conveying messages.
Mr. Duvert also shares insights into his filmmaking process and the challenges he encounters. He emphasizes that creating a film requires meticulous attention to detail, from casting actors and designing characters, to even the smallest details in the scene. He also reminds us that a successful film must not only have quality writing and acting, but also investment in music and sound. Lastly, Director Guy-Roger Duvert offers advice to young people, encouraging them to focus on creating a unique and personal film. He believes that this is the key for young filmmakers to stand out in the film and music industry not only in Vietnam but globally.
